Northern Virginia - January 2018 StatPak with Contract Snapshot from December 2017

CONTRACTS: Contract activity in December 2017 was down 10.2% from December 2016, and there was a decline in all six price categories. Through the full year of 2017, new contract activity was up just 1.8% compared to all of 2016. The average number of days on the market for homes receiving contracts was 66 days in December 2017, down from 72 days in December of last year. The average for the whole year was 45 days, down from 53 days in 2016.

Montgomery County - January 2018 StatPak with Contract Snapshot from December 2017

CONTRACTS: Contract activity in December 2017 was down 11.6% from December 2016, and there were decreases in four of the six price categories. For all of 2017, new contract activity was down 3.7% compared to all of 2016. The average number of days on the market for homes receiving contracts was 72 days in December 2017, up just one day from 71 days in December of last year.

Washington D.C. - January 2018 StatPak with Contract Snapshot from December 2017

CONTRACTS: Contract activity in December 2017 was up 3.4% from December 2016, and there were increases in four of the six price categories. For all of 2017, new contract activity was up 5.8% compared to 2016. In both cases, that’s the best in the metro area. The average number of days on the market for homes receiving contracts was 50 days in December 2017, down from 52 days in December of last year.

Loudoun County - January 2018 StatPak with Contract Snapshot from December 2017

CONTRACTS: Contract activity in December 2017 was down 17.7% from December 2016, and there was an increase in just one of the six price categories. For the full year 2017, new contract activity was down 2.3% compared to all of 2016. The average number of days on the market for homes receiving contracts was 57 days in December 2017, the same as December of last year.
